We are delighted to announce the introduction of the Sussex County FA Women’s Recreational Walking Football Festivals.

Venue: Ringmer FC, Caburn Community Ground, Kings Academy, BN8 5RB
Time: 6pm Arrival, 6.15pm Kick Off
Age: 18+
Cost: £45 per team
Festival dates for 2023: 16th of September, 14th of October, 11th of November, 9th of December 

Following the success of the Women’s Walking Football Summer Series earlier this year, and the growing demand for more walking football for women in Sussex, we have listened and brought this playing opportunity to life. 

Beginning in September, we will be running a 6-a-side Women’s and Self-identifying Women’s Walking Football Festivals once a month on a Saturday evening. 

The event is non-competitive, and brings together walking football groups in a fun, friendly and social environment. 

Ayscha Woods, our Development Officer said on the launch of the festivals: “Back in the spring it was great to be able to run a few walking football festivals, and to see the joy they brought to participants. 

“We have listened to request for this to be continued as a regular event and are so excited to now be able to expand the festivals and provide this playing opportunity for women’s walking football teams across Sussex!” 

We welcome teams to enter, but if you are an individual looking for a team then please feel free to get in contact and register your interest and we will support you to find one for the event.
