Darren joined the Sussex County FA in August 2007.

His role sees him responsible for the day-to-day operations of the marketing team, assisted by Sam Stephenson. This includes raising the profile of the organisation, handling any press enquires and identifying, maximising, and maintaining, partnership and sponsorship opportunities.

Darren's role also sees him oversee all IT equipment on site at our headquarters, and assist colleagues with key event planning and delivery.

Darren played football locally and enjoyed several years playing for a various clubs in the Southern Combination Football League. He now plays recreationally, often tuning out for our staff team in exhibition matches or the Business League. He is also a registered referee and Level 1 qualified coach in outfield and goalkeeping.
