Just Play is a key part of The FA's National Game Strategy, aiming to support the growth of the game.
How to join a Just Play session
Just Play gives the casual footballer a chance to just turn up to a venue and play football. Every centre is led by an FA Playmaker qualified coach who will be Emergency Aid trained. They will also all receive Nike equipment and kit to ensure that the session is more than just ‘jumpers for goalposts’ but has the practicality of just turning up and playing without committing to a full season.
Sessions are for 18+ but can be for all genders and all ages. There are some specific Walking Football, Student, Women’s only and disability sessions. To find a session near you, use the England Football Find Football Near You tool and select the option ‘Casual Football’ when you are asked ‘What are you interested in playing?’
How to start a Just Play session
We are looking to grow the number of Just Play sessions that we have so more players have access to casual football in Sussex. Each centre will receive 5 Nike Footballs, a set of branded bibs, cones and a marketing banner giving you all you need for a successful session. Additionally, we will provide you with funding to support the growth of your session providing you meet all the criteria and register all participants through The FA events platform.
If you are an existing session who would like to access the benefits of Just Play or a new session, please contact us (details below). Find out more information about the criteria and benefits of Just Play on The FA website.
