Shoreham receive Howdens kitchen

The Musselmen are the latest side in Sussex to benefit from the programme

Our congratulations to Shoreham on being the latest club in Sussex to benefit from the Howdens Game Changer Programme with our support.

The programme looks to provide better kitchen facilities to help England Football Accredited grassroots clubs make their matchday experience more enjoyable and to increase revenue opportunities.

Shoreham are a 2* accredited club with over 20 teams, from Under-7s Under-23s, along with a men’s and women’s side, and a walking football group.

Stuart Slaney, Chair of the club said: "It’s great that England Football and the Sussex County FA can work together with a national organisation, such as Howdens, so local football clubs can benefit from vital upgrades to club facilities, which simply wouldn’t have been possible before.

“A really big thanks from all of us at the club to everyone who’s helped make this happen!"

Our Facilities & Investment Officer, Beckie Street, added: “It’s wonderful to see another kitchen in Sussex replaced under The Howdens Game Changer Programme.

“Facilities such as these are the heart of the clubhouse and are so important to generate further funds to be reinvested into the club.”

“We look forward to helping more clubs transform their kitchens in 2024!”

Round two of the Programme is currently open, with Howdens and England Football seeking an additional 150 kitchens to transform.

With this second round, the eligibility has changed, opening to 1* clubs with 8 or more teams, 2* and 3* England Football Accredited Clubs.

The closing date is Wednesday 31 January 2024, and all information can be found on the Howdens Game Changer Programme website.
