Howdens HERO

Grasshoppers receive Howdens kitchen

The club are the first in Sussex to benefit from the Howdens Game Changer Programme

We’d like to offer our congratulations to Uckfield Grasshoppers Juniors, on being the first club in Sussex to benefit from the Howden’s Game Changer Programme.

The aim of the programme is to provide better kitchen facilities to help England Football Accredited grassroots clubs, to make their matchday experience more enjoyable alongside bringing opportunities to increase revenue.

At West Park, Uckfield, Uckfield Grasshoppers worked as joint applicants with Uckfield Town Council to apply to Howdens and England Football and were successfully awarded a new kitchen.

Uckfield Grasshoppers Juniors are a 3* accredited club with 26 teams, from Under-6s through to Under-16s.

Speaking on the installation of the Howdens kitchen, Simon Mason, Vice-Chair of the club said: “Our new kitchen looks amazing, and we can’t wait to welcome you all to our new home that will provide a fantastic base for our teams of current players and future generations of Grasshoppers.

“A massive thanks to both Howdens and England Football for supporting this project!”

“I am looking forward to helping more clubs apply when the next window opens in December.”
