Brian’s family have asked us to communicate that a service of commemoration will take place at 10am on Thursday 8 June 2023, at Worthing Crematorium, Horsham Road, Findon, Worthing, BN14 0RG. Family flowers only.

The service will be followed by further tributes back at our headquarters at Culver Road, Lancing, BN15 9AX.

The family have also asked that anyone who wishes to make a donation in Brian’s memory, donate to the British Heart Foundation.

Finally, in memory of Brian, the family have asked that attendees of the funeral don a flat cap, as a homage to the one he so frequently wore.

Please be aware that the offices at our headquarters in Lancing will be closed for the day, telephone calls will be diverted to the answering machine where messages can be left. Email communication will not be affected, though response time, if required from staff members, may increase. This is to allow our staff to attend the services and pay their respects.

Brian sadly passed away last week at the age of 73, doing what he loved, tending to the pitch here at our headquarters in Culver Road. All of us here at the Sussex County FA continue to send our condolences to Brian’s family and friends during this difficult period.
