Weetabix Wildcats funding opportunity

Funding opportunities are available for Weetabix Wildcat providers in Sussex!

In celebration of the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup Finals, we are pleased to announce funding opportunities of up to £500 for our current Weetabix Wildcats Providers.

The aim of the funding is to ensure our providers can continue to provide sustainable sessions for girls between 5 and 11 years old and, where possible, create teams to affiliate to the Sussex County Women and Girls Football League.

We would also like to thank all of our providers for the commitment they have shown and the impact they have made to the continued growth of Women and Girls football in Sussex.

Weetabix Wildcats Providers can apply for up to £500 to use on equipment, marketing, growing their workforce or any other areas that will sustain and improve the opportunities they currently provide.

Paul Kwatia, Sussex County FA Football Development Officer (Women and Girls) said: “The success of the Lionesses last summer saw a massive increase in interest and participation in Women and Girls Football and the forthcoming World Cup will help to continue the growth.

"With so many more girls playing football and more opportunities being created, this fund will help to sustain our clubs, schools and organisations that have shown commitment to girls football.

"We welcome applications from those wanting to set up a new Weetabix Wildcats program and have the resources and funding to support you.”

To apply for the funding please complete the short application before the deadline of Monday 31 July 2023 at 10pm.
