Lewes FC, Equality FC, however you want to refer to them, are a professional women’s side playing in the Barclays Women’s Championship. 

They are a club, however, that goes beyond their success on the pitch, passionately campaigning for social change within the sport. 

This season the Vitality Women’s FA Cup has seen a huge increase in prize money which the club campaigned for earlier this year, and Lewes were the driving force behind it. 

They are famous for Equality FC which, in 2017, saw them become the first club in world football to treat its players, male and female, the same. Equal playing budgets, same training facilities, same pitch.  

Lewes FC Women, led by former Scottish international, Scott Booth, have six home league games remaining this season and have a fantastic offer on the table.

Another initiative launched recently by the club is their Community Ticket Scheme. 

The scheme has been created to help local people who are worst hit by the cost-of-living crisis to attend Lewes FC home matches.
