We are delighted to announce the appointment of Annette Madden as Safeguarding Manager. 

Annette will be heading up a new safeguarding team following the departures of Sandra Redhead and Larette Tritton.

Before joining our team, Annette was a Police Officer for 30 years with 20 of those years in safeguarding. She retired in 2018 and took six months off before working in a primary school supporting a child with additional needs. 

Annette has two sons, both have played grassroots football from under-6s to under-16s and because of this she became the club welfare officer for their football club and only gave this role up 11 years later, once appointed in this role.

Upon her appointment, Annette had this to say: “I’m really excited to be joining Sussex County FA. I hope to use my previous experience to bring a fresh approach and continue the fantastic work in making Sussex Football a safe place.”
