Latest outdoor football guidance

Following the latest Government announcements, find out the latest FA guidance

Following the UK Government’s latest announcement regarding the introduction of local COVID-19 alert levels, The FA's guidance for grassroots football, which includes NLS Feeder Leagues (Step 7) and below of the Men’s Football Pyramid and Tier 7 and below of the Women’s Football Pyramid, remains the same.

It is extremely important that clubs, players, coaches, match officials, league officials, volunteers, parents, carers, and facility providers continue to strictly follow this guidance as well as the UK Governments’ latest guidance on COVID-19.

County FAs continue to work closely with local authorities to determine their regional situation and, if necessary, we will issue updated information in line with respective local COVID-19 alert levels.

The FA have requested clarity from the UK Government on travel into or out of areas with ‘very high’ local COVID alert levels by clubs in Steps 3-6 of the National League System and Tiers 3-6 of the Women’s Football Pyramid for fixtures and will provide a further update as soon as possible.

Throughout this period, The FA have taken UK Government advice with the priority being the health and wellbeing of all. The FA will also continue to work closely with the grassroots game during this time.

The latest FA guidance on grassroots football and updated FAQs can be downloaded below and from our COVID-19 Guidance page.
