F.v.H 2020

Sussex to again unite against Homophobia

February is Football.v.Homophobia Month of Action

We will be supporting the Football.v.Homophobia (FvH) campaign for its tenth season by hosting and participating in two exhibition matches (male and female) against Brighton Lesbian and Gay Sports Society (BLAGSS).

FvH is an international initiative that exists to challenge discrimination based on sexual orientation gender identity and expression at all levels of football. The campaign aims to unite fans, players, communities, grassroots teams, professional clubs and the football authorities to ensure the sport continues to work towards being more inclusive.

We actively promote ‘Football for All’ and encourage the involvement of the LGBT community in Sussex football. This encouragement has led to BLAGSS affiliating as a football club with us, enabling them to participate in affiliated football within in the county.

The friendly matches between ourselves and BLAGSS will celebrate their affiliation as well as promote the values of the FvH campaign which has been heavily backed by us since its inception in 2010.
