Disability Football Funding Opportunity

Disability Football grants available

Sussex County FA have an exciting prospect to develop the disability football provision within the region.

We are giving all football clubs, disability focused organisations, the health profession and other local organisations the chance to apply for our fantastic disability football grant.

In Sussex there is an opportunity to set up a number of recreational Turn up and Play Centres alongside the existing and successful centres. The Turn up and Play centres in Sussex will be run in conjunction with Sussex County FA, who are looking for a range of local organisations to provide a new provision within disability football.

This initiative will enable both children and adults to become involved in football at a level that suits them and this can be achieved by either holding in-house sessions or by partnering up with local clubs to utilise existing qualified coaches and facilities.

The aim of the sessions are to take place on a weekly basis for a minimum of 16 weeks with a requirement of the sessions to be led by a coach that holds at least an FA Level 1 Football qualification. The objective of the initiative is to create new and sustainable sessions for male and female players in both youth and adult football with the prospect of teams affiliating to the Disability Football League.

Each centre will have the full support from Sussex County FA and the funding available will vary depending on the project plan and proposed outcomes.

The deadline for the 2018-2019 season applications is on Saturday 31 March 2018.
