Annette joined the Sussex County FA in May 2022.

Annette's role is varied but includes ensuring that The FA safeguarding procedures are followed by all clubs, liaising with the statutory safeguarding agencies and offering advice and guidance to all involved in grassroots football. The overriding aim is to make sure that football is kept fun and safe for all participants.

Annette works alongside Karen Harrington in the safeguarding team.

Prior to taking up this role Annette was involved as a club welfare officer for a large grassroots football club for just over 11 years, so fully appreciates the day-to-day challenges clubs face.
