Crawley & District Youth Football League seeks volunteers

Youth league in urgent need of assistance

The Crawley & District Youth Football League are urgently seeking volunteers to join their committee ahead of next season.

Consisting of 850 players in 86 teams, the league is a vital part of the Sussex youth football landscape.

However, following the passing of its long serving league secretary, who’d been running the league for 40 years, the league has been run by the remaining four committee members.

Yet, as we look ahead to season 2024/25, the current committee are no longer able to commit their time, due to work commitments.

As such, unless new volunteers come forward, the league is in danger of folding, and the teams involved being cast out and in need of a new league to play in.

The roles needed to be filled to keep the league operating next season are as follows:

- Chair of the League
- League Secretary
- Fixtures Secretary
- Welfare Officer
- Treasurer

Information on what each role would entail can be found in the job’s description documents below.

If any of the roles would be of interest to you, please send a CV and covering letter to the current secretary, Sarah Bennett - regsec.mcfc@gmail.com.
