Grounds Team of the Year: Graham Hodges and Chris Frampton

The FA and McDonald's Grassroots Football Awards

We are delighted to announce Graham Hodges and Chris Frampton from Jarvis Brook FC have won our Grounds Team of the Year Award as part of The FA and McDonald's Grassroots Football Awards.

The awards aim to recognise and reward volunteers, match officials, clubs and leagues across the county who have made a difference to grassroots football in their local community.

Graham and Chris have put untold hours into maintaining Jarvis Brook’s six pitches, clubhouse, and car parking areas. The pitches have been in the best condition they ever have been, and the club’s youth and adults benefit so much from their hard work.

They have even managed to re decorate the clubhouse. The amount of hours they put in on a voluntary basis is amazing. They are there come rain or shine, smiling, having fun, supporting the kids and all while maintaining our facilities.

They also carry out all of the funding applications and implement all of the investigations and reports that these require.

The facility is in the best shape it’s ever been, the benefit our 450 members get on a weekly basis is huge. Their can-do attitude, their willingness to help others and above all their passion for local grassroots football.

The word legend is often used when describing a volunteer. Jarvis Brook can’t think of a more appropriate word to describe both Graham and Chris. They are all incredibly proud of their facility and thankful for all they do at the club.
