The Aviva Community Fund, open to everyone, offers the chance to get funding for an important cause in your community. The fund finances over eight hundred projects across four different fund levels and six categories, spreading the awards to communities throughout the UK.

Withdean Youth are amongst over 300 projects that secured funding from collecting the highest number of votes and receiving up to £1,000 in aid of a community based project.

A key focus at Withdean Youth is to ensure that a number of their coaches continue to progress through the FA Education Coaching pathway and to help advance from FA Charter Standard Club to FA Charter Standard Development or Community Club status.

Another area in which the club will utilise the fund is to invest in new equipment that will benefit the quality of training sessions, match days and aid the development of the players.

Withdean Youth are a real community club who are constantly expanding, currently running 20 youth teams ranging from under-8 to under-18, including 4 girls’ teams.
