We’re delighted to welcome Charlie Thurgood to the role of Football Services Manager.

Charlie will be working alongside Sienna Howell, Dan Bartlett and Elliot Davey as part of our re-established Football Services team.

Charlie joins us following five years working for a solicitors that specialised in debt recovery. 

Prior to this, Charlie started out in the police as a Community Support Officer, before his change of career. 

Football has always been a big part of his life, either supporting his local club Worthing, or working as a qualified referee in youth football. 

On his appointment, Charlie said: “I’m excited to be joining the Sussex County FA. Grassroots football has always been a part of my life, so to be a part of it now, means a great deal. 

“I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the Football Services team to help football in Sussex continue to thrive.”
