We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sean Lofting as a Football Development Officer. 

Sean will be working alongside Judy Gunn, Jade Harker, Paul Ofei-Kwatia, Steve Phythian and Hayley Tunstall in our Football Development team which is headed up by Paul Saunders. 

Prior to taking on his new role, Sean worked for Surrey FA on a year’s placement as well as a part-time role with Hampshire FA in the final year of his studies at Southampton Solent University.

At university, Sean studied Sports Coaching as well as coaching the university Futsal team. He has also coached at various grassroots clubs in Surrey. 

Sean previously volunteered throughout the Under-17s European Championships in 2017, and worked as a performance analysist for Metropolitan Police FC on their run to the First Round of The Emirates FA Cup last season.

A qualified referee and Tottenham Hotspur fan Sean also has a passion for music, hosting a radio show on Southampton Solent’s Student Radio Station during his time there, he also play guitar.

Following his appointment, Sean said: “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to have a positive impact on adult football within Sussex; I can’t wait to start the role and help the Sussex County FA develop football for everyone!”
