Time to Talk Day 2019

Let’s end mental health discrimination

Time to Talk Day is part of Time to Change’s growing social movement and is working to change the way people think and act about mental health problems.

Mental health problems affect one in four people, yet people are still afraid to talk about it.

The aim is to get the nation talking on Thursday 7 February 2019 and encourages players, coaches, fans and the local community to talk about mental health on Time to Talk Day.

Therefore, this years’ Time to Talk Day, run by Mind Charity is all about bringing together the right ingredients, to have a conversation about mental health and to challenge the stigma around it.

Having conversations about mental health helps break down stereotypes, improve relationships, aid recovery and take the stigma out of something that affects us all.

There are lots of different ways to have a conversation about mental health and you don’t have to be an expert to talk. However you do it, make sure you have a conversation about mental health this Time to Talk Day.

Please see the pack below, which is full of tips, ideas and resources to help you get involved!
