Paul Ofei-Kwatia - Sussex County FA Football Development Officer

Paul Ofei-Kwatia joins the team

We welcome Paul to the development team!

We have appointed Paul Ofei-Kwatia as a Football Development Officer.

Paul will be working alongside Clare Nichols, Jade Harker, Steve Phythian, Hayley Tunstall and Judy Gunn in our Football Development team, which is headed up by Paul Saunders, Football Development Manager.

Paul has recently completed the FA Youth Award and holds a number of years’ experience in teaching Physical Education within Primary Schools; he has a broad understanding of Youth Sport which he believes will help his role in developing youth football throughout Sussex.

Prior to taking on his new role he worked in the Charity sector for over ten years specialising in Sports Events Fundraising, which included marketing, organising and taking part in various charity challenges. He has led groups on treks in Peru, Morocco and Borneo and carried out cycle rides from London to Paris and London to Amsterdam helping to raise thousands of pounds for UK charities.

In his spare time he is involved in voluntary charity work and is a committee member and fundraising advisor for TackleAfrica, a charity that uses football to deliver sexual health education to young people on football pitches across Africa. He has also managed Fishersgate Flyers under-11s team for the past three years.

Following his appointment, Paul said: “I am really excited to be part of the Sussex County FA team and I look forward to help make a positive difference to grassroots football in the county.”
