Withdean Youth apply for Aviva Community Funding

Cast your vote for Withdean Youth FC!

Withdean Youth have successfully submitted a project to the Aviva Community Fund to help aid the development of the club.

The Aviva Community Fund, open to everyone, offers the chance for community projects to get funding for an important cause. The fund finances over 500 projects across four different fund levels and three categories, giving money to communities across the UK.

Withdean Youth’s aim is to ensure that their coaches continue to progress through the FA Education Coaching pathway and to invest in new equipment. Both of these improvements will benefit the quality of training sessions, match days and aid the development of the players at the club.

Withdean Youth are an inclusive football club for boys and girls of all ages and ability who place a high priority on providing the opportunity for all to participate in football.

The club currently has 21 youth teams ranging from under-8 to under-18s with over 300 players and over 30 committed volunteers.

With 70 girls registered at the club already, they also plan to create a new girls team each season which will ensure that they continue to have a heavy girls’ presence and support the development of girls’ football in Sussex.

Find out more about the project and vote please visit the Aviva Community Fund projects page.
