Girls Mini Soccer interest meeting to take place

For clubs in Sussex with girls’ under-7, under-8 or under-9s age categories

We are inviting all clubs who have girls that are in the under-7, under-8 or under-9 age categories to attend a meeting to discuss options to form a competition structure for these age groups throughout the County.

With the successful launch and running of the SSE Wildcats programme in Sussex, and with clubs outside of the programme attracting younger girls, it is felt that potentially we could be in a position to start forming a cluster group structure.

The idea will require creativity and development – if you would like your club to be involved in this exciting project please come along to the meeting to input your own ideas and hear what others from local clubs have to say.

The meeting will take place at Sussex County FA, Culver Road, Lancing, BN15 9AX on Thursday 2 August at 7.30pm.

If you would like to attend the meeting, please contact Clare Nichols on Clare.Nichols@SussexFA.com or 01903 766855.

There are also opportunities for girls who are in the under-10 and under-11 age groups within Sussex.

The Sussex County Women and Girls Football League offer a competition structure for under-10 and under-11 teams (7v7) which involves mini trophy events, development fixtures and central venue activities.

The league currently has 29 teams entered across the two age groups for the 2018/19 season and is open to additional entries in these age categories. If you are interested in entering a team into the league, please contact the league via contactus@scwgfl.com.
