Refereeing Disabled Footballers Workshop

FREE two hour workshop for referees interested in refereeing disabled football.

Sussex County FA are pleased to offer all qualified referees a FREE workshop to gain an understanding of refereeing players with a disability/impairment either in disability or mainstream football.

If you are an experienced or indeed a new referee who would like to become involved in refereeing footballers within various disability groups, then your involvement would be very welcome.

Refereeing Disabled Footballers Workshop
Date: Monday 30th January 2017
Time: 7.00pm till 9.00pm
Venue: Sussex County FA, Culver Road, Lancing, West Sussex, BN15 9AX

The two hour theory workshop will focus on:
• Overview of Disability Football
• Refereeing Deaf Footballers
• Refereeing Players with Mental Health
• Potential Scenarios
• Sussex Disability Football League
• Supporting the FA Disability Talent Pathway

Refereeing opportunities after the workshop are available with the Sussex Disability Football League.

The Sussex Disability Football League has been up and running since 2009 and is continually developing and growing. The league provides playing opportunities for female, male, young people and adult players with a physical, learning or mental health disability/impairment.
