Are you aware of the Benevolent Fund?

The Sussex County FA Benevolent Fund aims to help players and officials who have suffered a football-related injury and, as a result, find themselves in financial hardship.

Recent changes to the board of trustees has given the fund a new direction and emphasis on forging a closer and more meaningful relationship with affiliated clubs.

Victor Marley now heads up the fund as chairman, with Nigel Williams as secretary and Mike Brown the treasurer; Roy Cheshire, Ian Farrell and Roger Brace are trustees of the fund.

The fund is a registered charity and without donations it would simply not exist - affiliated clubs are encouraged to contribute to the fund when completing their club affiliation.
