The first step on the refereeing pathway is to attend an introductory evening:

This is the first step to becoming a referee. It is a two hour introduction evening where you will be guided through the refereeing experience looking at all formats of the game and the opportunities available. If you decide to start your refereeing journey the ‘Referee Course’ (11v11 or 9v9 football) will only be a few weeks away. 

Candidates need to be at least 14 years of age and not exclusive.

It is strongly recommend that parents of all candidates attend this taster session to gain a full understanding of the commitment required to complete the course.

Sussex County FA will have experienced Referees and FA Tutors on hand to guide you through the evening.
