Online Safeguarding for Committee Members...
The Online Safeguarding for Committee Members (SCM) course is a free online course written for Secretaries, Chairmen, Treasures and Club Welfare Officers in clubs with under-18s teams.
The course explores the key safeguarding building blocks in clubs such as effective committees, safer recruitment, building safe environments and recognising and reporting concerns. It addresses whistleblowing and stresses how important the committee is in supporting the Club Welfare Officer to embed safeguarding.
Please Note: It is a mandatory affiliation requirement for grassroots, steps 1-7 and WPL clubs with youth teams (under-18s and below) for Secretaries, Chairmen and Club Welfare Officers to have completed this course (N.B. if you hold more than one role you only need to take the course once). Sussex County FA request that all Management Committee members are encouraged to take this course.
