Re: Information and support meetings

Dear Club Welfare Officers

Sussex County FA is running meetings around the County to support you in your role as a Club Welfare Officer.

Whether you are new in post this season or you have been in post for years, you may wish to learn more about your role and how to develop your football Club.

These meetings are not mandatory for you to attend and you should only attend one meeting which is convenient for you. It is an opportunity for you to ask any questions, listen to discussions and obtain new information. Please be advised that this is not training, just an opportunity for you to attend a meeting.

The meetings will be held in the following venues:

Monday 13th July – 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Chichester City United FC, Oaklands Park, Oaklands Way, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 6AR

Tuesday 14th July – 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Sussex County FA Headquarters, Culver Road, Lancing, West Sussex, BN15 9AX

Wednesday 22nd July – 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Little Common FC, Little Common Recreational Ground, Green Lane, Little Common, East Sussex, TN39 4PH

Wednesday 29th July – 6.30pm – 8.30pm
The Holbrook Club, North Heath Lane, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 5PJ

I aim to cover the following in these meetings:

  • The Club Welfare Officer role
  • The County Welfare Officer role
  • The Respect Programme
  • Safeguarding Online
  • Training
  • Policies and procedures
  • What further support you may need at your Club from the County FA

These meetings are free to attend. We will have some non-alcoholic drinks available.

Please consider this to be your informal opportunity to meet me and to go over your role as a Club Welfare Officer.

I would be grateful if you could email me to confirm your attendance. Please include your name, your Club and the meeting you are going to attend: Catherine.larner@sussexfa.com

If you wanted to invite another individual from the Club, that would be no problem.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you wish to discuss this further.

Kind regards

Catherine
