AWARD WINNERS 2010
2010 marks the first ever FA Community Awards, presented by McDonald’s, which builds on our continued commitment to improving standards of community football and increasing participation across all aspects of grassroots football through Charter Standard Clubs and Leagues.
The awards will recognise and reward the hard work that goes on around the country week in, week out, to provide the best possible experience for those participating in grassroots football.
The FA Community Award winners are as follows;
• Outstanding Contribution to Community Football Award
Paul Kerr, Seagulls FC
• The FA Charter Standard Community Club Award
Worthing Town FC
• FA Charter Standard Development Club Award
East Grinstead Meads FC
• FA Charter Standard Club Award
Haywards Heath Town Ladies FC
• Volunteer of the Year
Paul Preston, Sussex County Women & Girls FL
• Young Volunteer of the Year
Charlotte Skipper, Horsham Sparrow Girls FC
• Coach of the Year Award
David Bos, Meridian Athletic FC
All the above nominations were put forward to the FA South East Regional Judging Panel and as a result the Sussex County FA have the pleasure to announce that David Bos of Meridian Athletic FC has been awarded the FA South East Community Award Regional Winner for Coach of the Year Award.
In addition to the above Sussex County FA would also like to recognise those workforce volunteers and leaders for their contribution to grass roots football.

FA Community Awards events will be taking place across all County FA’s to recognise and reward those people who make the grassroots game happen week in week out. The Sussex County FA will be holding their Awards evening on the 15th September at the Sussex County FA Headquarters.
