LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN COACHING FOOTBALL (L3LCF)
Due to the demand for courses imposed by FA guidelines places will be limited. Therefore, it is recommended that you apply for a place without delay to avoid desappointment. Please Note: To attend this course, as a pre-requisite you must have attended both the FA/Goal Safeguarding Children and Good Practise Workshops and the FA Emergency Aid course, and hold a valid certificate of attendance.

For Whom?
• Candidates should be over 18 years of age
• Candidates should hold the 1st 4 sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football (The Football Association)
• Candidates should be working with a team over an extensive period of time, with an aim of making a significant contribution to the performance of their team.
NB : This course is delivered over a minimum of 12 full days as follows :
6 days initial training course :
Monday – Saturday, 9am-5pm all days
Approx 1 month after initial training course :
2 days support training : Thursday & Friday, 9am-5pm
Approx 2 months after initial training course :
2 days support training : Thursday & Friday, 9am-5pm
Approx 3 months after initial training course :
2 days Final Assessment : Thursday & Friday , 9am-5pm

• Minimum of 16 hours coaching

Students will have the opportunity of subsequently being assessed on a National or Local course through a:
• Written Examination – Multiple Choice in:
o Football Fitness
o Injury Identification and Recognition
o Aspects of First Aid
o Nutrition
• Oral Interview regarding Recorded Coaching
• Practical Coaching Sessions

More Details:
On completion of the course, the competent coach will be able to:
• Coach advanced individual techniques, group skill, and principles of play to groups of players
• Develop an understanding of the coaching process and the needs of the player, as this relates to children, teenagers and adults
• Display a knowledge of related Sports Science issues
• Plan and prepare coaching sessions in relation to a match programme and evaluate this process
• Maintain the health and safety of player and other coaches
• Maintain high standards of conduct to promote Association Football

Distance Learning & Pre-Requisites for Court Completion:
• Safeguarding Children
• Emergency Aid
Candidates are expected to have completed the Child Protection module Children Ensuring Safety in Football and the Emergency Aid module either before the course of training or before the final assessment.
Course Costs:
• FA Emergency Aid : £25.00
• FA Safeguarding Children: £25.00
Both certificates are valid for 3 years from date of issue. Your certificate(s) must be valid at the time of final assessment/course completion.
