Please Note: To attend this course, as a pre-requisite you must have attended both the FA/Goal Safeguarding Children and Good Practise Workshops and the FA Emergency Aid course, and hold a valid certificate of attendance.
Due to the demand for courses imposed by FA guidelines places will be limited. Therefore, it is recommended that you apply for a place without delay to avoid disappointment. Course Content: Aspects of Anatomy, physiology and first aid relevant to the identification and treatment of common injuries to joints, muscles and bones. Assessment: 4 components (3 x practical, 1 x written).
For whom?
Those involved in a variety of roles in football eg coaches , officials, players, parents. Candidates must be 16 years old, hold a current Emergency Aid certificate (or equivalent) and complete an FA Child Protection workshop within 2 months of completing this course for certification to be issued.
Course Content:
Aspects of anatomy, physiology and first aid relevant to the identification and treatment of common injuries to joints, muscles and bones often found in sports scenarios. The course involves 14 hours contact time with extra tasks to be completed away from the course.
Assessment:
4 components ( 3 x practical , 1 x written) based on course content.
Re-assessment where necessary charged at £15.00
